Just for kicks, try different USB ports and see if anything changes, then report back. I know it worked before, but humor me...
tried a SEVENTH computor that has never had any BS software installed on it
same thing, not connected
btw, this also applies to my id 15
will not connect to EITHER 15 or 30 on ANY usb port on ANY of 7 computers using 4 different usb cords.
all computors see both amps
i can record both amps via usb into my recording programs
the only program that does not see the amps is, of course, BS 1.4
emailed BS 2 days ago. no response
phone support is m-w-f but i gave up yesterday after 1.5 hrs on hold

I have posted in the thread regarding Insider on OSX on this issue. I´ve tried connecting my ID260 to 5 different computers and 2 of them were PC´s running Windows 8. One Mac running Windows 7 aswell. I can´t get it to work either. I´ve tried 1.3.0 up to 1.4 and have pretty much given up hope on ever getting it to work.
Anyhoo, when I first contacted BS support I tried using the online support form but I never got an answer. Then I tried this email address directly from my email client and immidiately got an answer:
enquiries@blackstaramps.com
They have sent several emails asking questions and suggesting ideas so you might try that approach. Maybe you´ll get your amps to work. Best of luck.
