ID60 or ID 100 Head?
I went with the ID:60 head. better for practice and still insanely loud when you need it to be while being less weight and taking up less space is a plus if you plan to ever gig with it. I would regiment 212 cab tho just sounds more focused to me.
Hey fantom, did you sell the 260 yet. If the answer in no, what do you want and where are you at? If yes, well, glad you were able to.Fantom wrote:ya I agree with myk, don't be afraid of being to loud, when I'm playing at home my master is usually 3 and it's plenty but it's still fun to crank it up in the basement sometimes. I also have the 260 and there is a noticeable difference in sound between the 2. you don't have the super wide stereo option on the 100 but the sound and bottom end is much more full, even at lower volumes. I thought I'd still get some use out of my 260 but I don't, it's been put up for sale. go for the 100 and the slant cab, you won't be disappointed.
You may not know it takes 10x more watts to double the volume.. so the difference between the 60 and 100 will be noticeable but the difference is not going to be what you may imagine.. I use the id:60.. sold the first one and ended up buying another one and the 100 watt version seems now to be cheaper used that the 60 watt version. If you have a boost or eq pedal a 60 watt tvp is very loud.. BTW I have owned 2 of the Blackstar venue series before. and swapping tubes can get expensive
