Hey Gang,

Just wonderin if anyone has tried this multi-band comp with their ID amp? (In FRONT)...If so, please describe your exp. I tried out a MXR Dynacomp last week and didnt like it...The TC is getting really good reviews on Youtube and some major gear sites...BUT, as we all know the ID is a picky lil twat and will raise hell if its not right for HER  ...

Thanks!

Hey Kidd,
Haven't tried the TC compressor (yet) I'm sure it's great as I'm a big TC fan.
On the other hand I'm a pretty devout compressor user including with the I.D. amp. At the moment my favorite is the Suhr. (In front of the amp)

I use a compressor as a (always on) for any cleans, and also use it for low gain solo's, such as Lynard Skynard tunes where I need a little more sustain without adding more distortion/gain.
Let us know what you get........

Oh Man !..I believe thats the BEST demo Ive ever seen !.That Cat really put it through the paces. Also looks less complicated to operate than the TC. I dont do well when given ALOTTA choices .... I have a hard enough time stayin with the presets I assign for the FS-10.. Its 70 bucks more than the TC on average BUT?...I THOUGHT the OD and CRUNCH ,with a "Boost A Grande' "were all I would ever need for soloing but Im never able to get the sustain and limiting as well with just the amp and boost. The MXR produced a LOUD HUM (like a square wave) using the AC adapter but was fine with a battery???. It was too sensitive as well and I never got the DRY vrs WET mix right..(most likely ME.. )Well?....IDK now....Pete made that Suhr sound mighty appealing! Gonna watch smore videos on both then decide...Thanks so much for the info.Really helps someone with little exp!

If compressors are your thing, you might find this website useful.
http://www.ovnilab.com/
Takes a while to get thru all the information on the website but it's very extensive.
I bought a MXR M87 after reading the (Top Picks) link at the top of the page......

i HOPE one day, comps WILL be my thang.Ill likely be 70ish BUT! better late than never. Id been on that site before ,but took one look at all the reading Id have to do and said PEESE on it... :o. Now that you've brought it back to my attn, Ill chain myself to this stool and finally cop what I need to know to move fwd.Yeah,They didnt think much of the TC so???...Just got outta SPEAKER class alittle while back, looks like Ill be going to comp school now. Ive relied too long on comp software to choose good vocal settings ( editing from presets)High time I found out what all the #s mean. The bell just rang, gotta hit the books!

Thanks again,

ITS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!...Damn , I coulda traveled by pack mule to the windy city and had this lil jewel in my possession before the carrier got it here... ...OH MAN, I cant believe how quiet this thing is!. LOTS of variables for sure...Im confused alittle though???...I thought this thing ONLY powered up when cables were connected IF the selector switch was in the pwr up ON position? I have mine in the OFF position and from what Im readin, Im taking it to mean NO MATTER what position its in, ya STILL gotsta un plug the INPUT or it will run your battery down...I guess all that power positioning has to do with the FX link foot switch operation???.Oh well?, my small stone phase shifter was the same in 73......I guess nothings changed ..I look fwd to HRS of messing with my FIRST COMP to understand its behavior. Ya get lil subtle changes with small incremental moves , unlike that crazy MXR...Great pedal for the inexperienced!

Well?....The honeymoon is OVER...I was using the cheap battery that came with it till it died, THEN, tried hookin up a few AC adapters (mine did NOT come with one ) and the specs say 9-18V will work...The first 9V I hooked up worked BUT...It was VERY weak and the RED light stayed on ALL the time never indicating the GREEN , ORANGE light levels of compression (like the battery did)...Hooked up another 9V adapter and IT didnt owrk at all. The polarity matched the compressor PWR IN so I dont know whats up with that?...Tried a 12V, and it wouldnt pwr up either?..Put a new battery in and its back to workin fine?...Im waitin to hear back from the seller...Anyone ever had this happen using a pedal?

Thanks!
