Just open the box and my new Blackstar fly three could not get the on off switch to work or that pilot light to glow. Tried fresh batteries thing won't turn on I'm so disappointed any ideas anyone I could use some practice back stage before the gig. It's not good when you can't even get the thing to turn on help any ideas otherwise I'm taking it back to the guitar centeR.

Assuming the batteries are in correctly...take it back.
It's been a while, so this reply might be mostly just for reference.
According to the manual, it seems that Fly 3 amps used to come with batteries pre-installed.
To prevent accidental discharge, there was a plastic tab over one of the battery contacts. You are supposed to remove the tab prior to using. This is the first step in the manual, if anyone cares to read it
Even if your amp did not come with batteries, it's worth checking to make sure there is no plastic covering any of the contacts in the battery compartment.
