FLY 3 BASS, battery cover latch not engaging

The battery cover latch on my Fly 3 Bass just barely holds on. It pops open with the slightest touch or movement.
The clip on the cover seems fine. Nothing is broken. But looking closely, it seems the enclosure itself is poorly designed. The part where the clip inserts into is smooth, without a lip to latch under.
Whether this is bad QC or poor design, I'm not sure. But certainly not acceptable at this price.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
