Just thought I,de say hello, (first post_expensive these days)

Have been playing the blues a little while now, some 50 plus years, should get the hang of it soon lol
But seriously I was reduced to the roll of bedroom specialist through some health problems, and although ive had everything from little Fenders Gallien Krugers ( shooda kept that one ah well\), to full blown rigs
over the years.
My neighbour got one of these little ID Core 10s, ive been poppin in to try to show him some bits and pieces, he being a heavy metal giggin drummer, and lately taken up the guitar, and doing really well.

I was blown away by the awesome sounds both quality and range of this amp, and the the little grey cells which had been diminishing of late, suddenly kicked back into some kind of reasonable order.
And as i looked into the specs I realised that it was a modelling amp, ( not been asked to do much of that lately)
I thought this little box would be great for recording and similar, and also because of its light weight, wouldn,t strain even my old bones. So i ordered one- "crazy really", the price I mean, some of the old valve amps i,ve had were like having an extra mortgage !
Just before it arrived, my right hand lost a lot of its strength, i think its a trapped nerve, in my right shoulder, but I digress, and I found I couldn,t control the pick, but with the brain having restarted I remembered the good old standbye "Gaffer Tape", and I taped the pick, a Dunlop between my thumb and finger, should hold till I can get to the doctors.
I started trying to remember the stuff i used to play, and even though the arthritus in my fingers has slowed me down a lot, I really enjoyed the sounds I was getting and my little heart was full of joy. I phoned an old mate of 55 years, we played out in all sorts of venues, "got paid in some of em", and arranged a recording session at his house.
I,ve even got up at 2.00 am two nights running and having downloaded a little recording app for the ipad, recorded the bones of 2 songs that came to me, to flesh em out in daylight, had some pain killers and went back to bed.
Now where was I,know i meander, "just a little", ah yes, the amp, yes! its true to say that this little baby has perked me up no end, and all for under £90.
Even thought back to some of the pleasurable perks i had when out playing, but i would need both retraining
and some good stout jump leads i think, thats if I could remember what I used to do.

Now, doubtless having bored the s**t out of you, I bid you a good day and many years of enjoyable playing.

Think I need to re-do the gaffer tape.

L8ers "cool eh" down with the kids.

Phil
