My name is Jim from Kansas City. I just received my Black Star HT60 Soloist. Out of the box, I am very impressed. My main amp is a Mesa Boogie Roadster 2x12 Combo which I love but it's weight is getting to be prohibitive to drag into small venues. I also have a Fender Blues De Ville 4X10 (Blonde Tolex) for small gigs but frankly have given up on trying to get the sound I want out of it. I saw the Soloist on sale and went out and tried one - SILK! The Clear channel is superb and the OverDrive channel can be dialed for just the right amount of break up/ sustain/ crunch I'm looking for. I chose the Soloist strictly for the weight and power. 60 Watts into one 12" speaker. 54 lbs. Excellent Choice.
