Just poppin in to say HI and to be counted among the masses.
Picked up an ID 260 just the other day. Plugged in and jammed my ass off for about 2 hours.
then my guitar took a dump on me.
It's active and it's wires that came discomboobulated at the circuit boards.
dammit.
BUT!
The amp sounds incredible.
Greetings from Nevada...
fixable yeah. Gotta replace the module itself. But it's a "pull out-drop in" kind of thing and then solder my pups and jack.
Oh... and I agree. Discombobulated should be used more often. But I do like to put the extra "o" in there mainly cuz I'm a guy.

also like to add that it was my son that brought over his Blackstar head for me to jam on. He's the one that got me really looking into the Blackstar brand.
Good lad that he is.

He's a good egg for sure!Dogbreath wrote:also like to add that it was my son that brought over his Blackstar head for me to jam on. He's the one that got me really looking into the Blackstar brand.

How you enjoying the amp now you've had more time to play it?
I'm blown away at this thing! Freakin LOUD and crystal clear. Brought in the new year with some VOLUME.
I had me a good crunchy setting, loud of course, chuggin along on some rhythm and then palm muted everything and...dead silence. No hiss, no feedback. Pure awesomeness.
I ended up buying a new guitar. Got the ESP EC1000 deluxe (the purdy snow white one) with the EMG 81-60 pups and man... what a good pair up for some great metal sound. I may be an old dude but I likes me some metal crunch and this setup is pretty much all I need.
At least until g.a.s. sets in again.
heh heh...
