New Blackstar owner here. Middle aged novice, ex pat Brit lived in Texas for the last 23 years.
Bought a Debut50 to stand in for my Origin50 which seems to think its sole purpose is to use up the world's supply of tubes. It's in the shop being repaired, hopefully, right now.
So far so good, except Blackstar failed to mention which footswitch you're supposed to buy. After I emailed them they told me it's the FS-18. In the US that's a special order, according to Sweetwater, so I ended up buying a Hiwatt (well, Hiwatt badged anyway) one on Fleabay for $10 less than the Blackstar one. It works and the buttons are labeled correctly, so...
Anyway, the Debut50 seems like a great choice for someone wanting a very basic, minimal frills, all analogue but no tubes, amp. Very pleased.
