Hello all,

On the Silverline Stereo Deluxe 2x12, is it possible to use a MIDI controller via the MIDI interface and a footswitch at the same time?

Use case:
Use a Blackstar FS10 for switching between presets, leaving it in patch switching mode
Use the MIDI controller for turning particular FX on/off on those above presets ... example, turning off a delay or reverb on the preset currently active

The Blackstar FS10 is useful, and you can switch between patch mode and EFX mode, but you have to hold the button down, and switch around... kind of hard to do all of that on the spot while playing live.. it would be great if I could change patches and also turn certain EFX on/off without the extra clicking.. would like to be able to effectively access the patch mode and the Effects mode at the same time.

Would this be possible using the FS10 footswitch at the same time that a MIDI controller is used on the MIDI interface is the Silverline?

In your use case, you can use the Blackstar FS10 footswitch for switching between presets while leaving it in patch switching mode. At the same time, you can use a MIDI controller connected to the MIDI interface of the Silverline amp to control specific effects within those subway surfers presets. For example, you can turn off a delay or reverb effect on the currently active preset using the MIDI controller.
By utilizing both the footswitch and the MIDI controller, you can effectively access the patch mode for preset switching and the effects mode for controlling individual effects simultaneously. This setup should provide you with the flexibility to make changes on the fly while performing live without the need for excessive clicking or switching.

Yes, it is possible to use the FS10 footswitch and a MIDI controller simultaneously on the MIDI interface of the Silverline Stereo Deluxe 2x12. The footswitch can control the amp's basic functions, while the MIDI controller can be used to send more complex MIDI messages to the amp. To ensure compatibility, make sure the MIDI controller is connected to the correct input jack on the amp and is configured to send the appropriate MIDI messages. You can refer to the amp's manual for more information on MIDI implementation.

I've used the Silverline Stereo Deluxe 2x12 with a similar setup before. It should be possible to use the Blackstar FS10 footswitch for patch switching and a MIDI controller for FX control simultaneously. The key is to ensure that your MIDI controller and the FS10 are set up to work together without conflicts. Just make sure to assign different MIDI channels to each device, and you should be good to go.
