I cant hear my guitar on pc

I cant hear my guitar when i open the Architect program, but I can hear it decently when I record on vegas, but its terribly terrible when I use it on fl studio. Is there a reason? Do I need to install something to be able to hear my guitar on pc? Whats the best software to record the sound?
